The Journey

Pool Supply Unlimited joined the Digital Position family mid-2018. They previously used another SEO agency that only really did basic on-page optimizations. They wanted to improve the organic visibility for their online store.

We started by addressing many technical issues with the website and revamping their URL structure. Because a new platform was off the table, we worked within the parameters of the existing platform to maximize it’s effectiveness for SEO.

We then setup a keyword optimization strategy by looking at one keyword group at a time and providing unique recommendations based on needs identified. We also mapped out a blog strategy for them to capitalize on to further enhance keyword visibility.

Working within a variety of limitations, we were able to pull off some additional changes as well including meta title changes, H1 improvements, new meta descriptions, and improved internal linking to pages that desperately needed a boost.

The Results

When we joined, SEO traffic was just about flat. Within 3 months, we were up over 48% in organic traffic and 100% in organic revenue. In year 2, we’re up 193% in organic traffic and 141% in organic revenue.

We even breached the top 10 for “pool supplies” which has 110,000 monthly searches! Top 5 here we come!
