The Journey

Digital Position joined forces with Sona Med Spa at a time when they were struggling with the profitability of their already large PPC accounts. Rising competition, a simplified account structure, weak ad copy & a lack of ongoing optimization processes were causing exceptionally high CPCs. We underwent a huge restructure and expansion into longer-tail and less obvious keyword groups. As a result, we created 150 more campaigns, 1,300 more ad groups and 3,000 more keywords to bid on. We then optimized ad copy & extensions, which greatly increased real estate of ads & quality scores. Lastly, we optimized geotargeting and have added 1,500+ negative keywords to support traffic sculpting initiatives.

THE RESULTS

These optimizations were implemented quickly. By the end of the first full month, we had decreased CPCs -23%, CPAs -11%, and saved the client $25k on leads. By month 3 we had decreased CPCs -28%, CPAs -22% & saved the client $60k that month alone. Monthly savings are now exceeding $60k.
